Viewing parties

We will be livestreaming TEDxIlala from Dar es Salaam to provide access to viewers worldwide, including guests at viewing parties and those watching at home.  We will also have a conversations online through social media & sli.do (event link or with the event code #tedxilala) so we hope to involve as many people as possible in the day’s activities.

If you’re unable to attend the full day or can’t get a ticket, attending a viewing party is a great way to be part of the day with others who are passionate about ideas worth spreading.

Want to organise a viewing party?

Let us know about your viewing party to get it added to the list above!
A viewing party can be organised by an individual or organisation, and can take place anywhere in the world! There’s no cost associated with having a recognised viewing party but you must fill in this form with your detailsRegister your viewing party

During the breaks, when talks aren’t taking place, the livestream will be offline & this is a great chance for you to host activities for attendees or have some lively discussions, of course you can also just relax and let your mind absorb all the cool ideas too! Unfortunately we can’t provide any financial support or provide any equipment for any of the viewing parties but we can give advice and ideas on how to run a successful event and promote your viewing party across our networks. 

Please note that if you would like to organise a viewing party, TEDx has strict guidelines for official viewing parties and so TEDxIlala viewing parties must be free of charge to an audience of up to 100 people.
